Balancing patient care and student learning. The supervision at a clinical education ward is based on balancing patient care and student learning. The supervisors are focused on the patients, making a nursing care plan for the patients. They are also focused on students, making a learning plan for the students. The plan includes both allowing students to work independently and supporting them when needed
